My Joys my joys | #momlife my joys | it's the little things

my daily dose of guilt….

So….I got behind on the laundry.  It usually happens when hubby decides he’s going to “help”.  The laundry sits in the dryer and is so hopelessly wrinkled, I opt for washing it again instead of ironing…then I open the washer to find a soaking wet load that sat overnight…. *sigh*

The pattern repeated this weekend, and today came and I just barely got enough done for the boys to go to school in a way that would not raise eyebrows.  Or so I thought.  My older guy got dressed, made himself breakfast and was reading at the table…I was rushing to dress the little one for school.   “You found your clothes OK kiddo?” I asked. “yep” he said.  Hubby said he’d “help” and drive the older one to school.

Fast forward.  I pick him up after school today- it’s 90 degrees- and he is sweating bullets.  “Honey! You look like you’re going to pass out!” I say as he gets in the car….he sits down, crosses his legs and says “Yeah- I guess its really hot today” he says.

Then…to my HORROR I see flannel pajama pants sticking out VERY NOTICEABLY under his uniform pants! I shriek “WHAT the heck is that!!!?” “Mommmm” he answers exasperated, like I am denser than wood, “- I had no underwear…so I just wore my pajama pants under my uniform!”
yep.
Of course every teacher must have seen this.
and of course, I am now off to do laundry.

Can’t make this up folks!
