March has settled in with all it’s wild weather, and while the winds may be bitter, the sun is strong…  Hang on mama, warmer days are only a few weeks away! But it’s not really the temperature that has me feeling a bit brighter-because Spring isn’t just a season—it’s a vibe, a feeling of renewal and growth and positive changes.

And I think it’s true, that our storytelling goes through seasons as well. The celebrations and traditions of the holidays, give way to cozy stories of winter that then turn to the promise of a new year, stories of love, and now- as we March on! to April,  all the little joys of Spring!

Here are a few “joy jumpers” for you to help infuse the vibe of this new season into your layouts and stories these next few weeks:

Choose Colors that echo Springtime Fun!  Let’s ditch the winter grays and dive into pastels, vibrant greens, and all things floral. Our scrapbooks deserve a splash of those fresh, lively colors to match the season’s vibe.

Floral Designs Are the MVPs! You can’t talk about spring without mentioning flowers, right? Sprinkle those floral patterns throughout your layouts—whether it’s on paper, in embellishments Let the blossoms tell a story of growth and beauty.

Snap Away Those Springtime Moments!  Capture the magic happening around you! Look for blooming flowers, lush greenery, and play with the sunlight. Your photos should be like little time capsules, documenting both the changes in your surroundings and in yourself.

Crafty Layouts for Positive Vibes!  Let your layouts radiate good vibes! Experiment with designs that tell your stories “fresh start” and “positive change.” How about before-and-after layouts to show off your growth journey?

Spring Events Are Scrapbook Gold!  Don’t forget the festivities! From Easter egg hunts to lazy park picnics, let those spring event memories shine in your scrapbook. They’re the heart of the season! And while we all know about the “big” celebrations this month-  here’s’ a few fun ones you may have missed:

1. March 2: National Old Stuff Day Focus on a favorite vintage photos or mementos.
2. March 3: World Wildlife Day Ideal for photographers who love capturing the beauty of nature and wildlife in their scrapbooks.
3. March 12: National Plant a Flower Day – it’s the perfect excuse to buy yourself a happy little flower or plant a few seeds on the windowsill!
4. March 20: International Day of Happiness  What are some of the things that are bringing you joy this month?
5. March 23: National Puppy Day– prefect for capturing stories of pups of all ages!
6. March 27: World Theatre Day A great day to tell the stories of your favorite little actors, highlight those school shows, or tell the stories of your favorite theater memories!
7. March 30: Take a Walk in the Park Day soak in the sun and take a stroll- you’ll be surprised how little stories will unfold right in front of you!
8. March 31: National Crayon Day  think of all the colorful stories you can craft! hmm- this one has me the most excited! We may have to focus on it a little more… stay tuned!

Bottom line- there are stories to be captured all around us- and each season offers a terrific opportunity to add a new tone to our layouts! Here’s to crafting a happy little spring together!
