The Month of Challenges at the Lilypad is coming to an end- but that doesn’t mean the inspiration can’t rock on! There were 31-derful ways to expand your creativity and have a little fun scrapping outside the box! Here’s a list of the challenges:

As we wrap up the month- I though it would be fun to shed a final spotlight a few of the layouts in my Gallery at the Lilypad  that really caught me eye this week and share them with you! *artist credits and supplies used can be found here in Gallery for the week of Jan 24-Jan 31 2022

The dramatic photo really takes center stage here- and I think the black and white treatment is what makes it shine! Pair that with the perfect flow of stars that rests on the shelf of the photo strip and you have a perfectly composed page!

 

Speaking of flow- check out this layout! The angled treatment of the photos and papers that zig zig down the page make you feel like you’re on the sled ride too! Love it!

 

This is a beautiful heritage layout! There are so many design choices that make this page a standout! Look closely at the journaling and see how it flows over the dark blue “dad” and changes color seamlessly- *swoon* next, the delicate flow of photos across the page compliments the curved page title and finally- the choice of three columns for the journaling makes for a pleasing read. Amazing work!

 

This is the first of two “count down” pages- and it has so much to love! There are so many fun elements on the page- and each one adds to the storytelling! The trick to making the journaling stand out and not get lost in all that is on the page is the choice to type in on white framed labels. Perfect!

 

This page is just precious. It is so delicate thanks to the use of white space and light fonts and the colors work beautifully together.  I love the choice to add black and white treatment to the photo and place it in the corner tucked under the little rose.  Love it!

 

The next two layouts show the power of layering and sunbursts patters- and each places the burst on a different angle- which results in a totally different effect! 

 

Here the Sunburst mimics a firework burst and adds a perfect energy to the layout which gets its anchor from the horizonal title and the strip of photos at the bottom of the page– it’s terrific balance!

 

Here the sunburst serves as the main focal point and carries your eyes on a pleasing flow resting on each word strip to amplify the story of the page! It’s magic!

 

Sometimes you don’t even need a photo to tell the story in your heart! I love all the ellies packed into the page that each tell a part of the story and frame the sentiments inside which is spelled out in Word Art! Very fun!

 

 

Here’s one more example of the power of Word Art! The background papers and fun ellies support the story and the photo is placed perfectly in the column of “news”. Delicious composition!

 

Shine and glimmer for the win with this layout! The delicate colors, the hint of shine and that awesome shaker box filled with pretties in various angles is just stunning! It’s a awesome girly page that lets you know this was definitely her day to shine! 

 

Finally there is this “count down” page that takes you on a fun trip around the four corners of the page! Each ellie is perfectly chosen and placed in just the right scale to get you a landing spot to read the journaling and the strip of photos adds just the right touch! So creative!

 

I hope you had fun soaking in the inspiration in the layouts  spotlighted this month! I always learn something new from admiring the creativity of others and love that there are so many different ways to tell our stories! Pair that with the magic of digital scrapbooking and gosh!- this is a wonderful way we have chosen to push pause on the everyday magic in our lives!
