Hello! Stefanie here with my very first blog post for ForeverJoy Designs.
I am the type of person that finds it very easy to spot things to complain about, but find it much harder to speak out words of appreciation and affirmation. My hubby though, just loves being praised and complimented. So I do this through my scrapbook layouts. I make sure to include him and what he does for our family and how much we appreciate him.
I wanted to tell the story of our garden transformation and washing line area. He had a vision and asked me my opinion and then went ahead and did it his way anyway. I knew that Renne had the perfect kit, Loads of Fun. So I lay out the photos I wanted to use.
Then I added some patterned papers, because they are gorgeous, add fabulous pops of colour to the more dreary coloured photos and give much needed dimension through the layers they added.
Then I played around with my journaling, needing to have at least one of journaling with two word strips included for The Lilypad’s digital scrapbooking journaling challenge. (You can see that challenge here)
After my journaling- I moved on to the elements and just play to visually anchor the photos and papers, add that spark of whimsy (the softener bottle representing me and the washing powder box representing him) a flower and some bubbles for texture and more dimension and then some extra washing labels because they add to the theme of the layout.
Fun, right? How about you, do you have any laundry stories you could tell? Or any layouts you could make to give a much needed “thank you?” It’s another great reason to scrap!
