Here we are at day 2 of Thanksgiving presence- and I have a little craft for you to download! I was looking for a few things to decorate the house with for Thanksgiving- and sadly- the only Holiday themed left were in the sad bargain bin section. Stores were packed with all things Christmas- (I did buy a few goodies to stash away for December) But Thanksgiving? Not a paper turkey to be found.
I decided to ask the boys make their own hand turkeys (-mind you- they are 13 and 21- but they agreed!) – and I designed a little “Thanksgiving Tree for us to craft some joy with!
I wanted to share it with you!
You don’t need Photoshop for it- there are 2 PDF files you can simply print and play with. A one inch circle punch (or opld fashioned scissors!) will do. I did include a very simple PSD file if you wanted to clip photos on. I plan on printing it out on a sheet of sticker paper and keeping blank dots in a little bowl for us to fill in.
I’ll put it in a dollar store 8×10 frame- and I think it will be a great way to keep our blessings in plain site. I may do what I have done with school photos and just put away the frame for next year- and when I print another one out then, I’ll just layer it on top. I bet it will be fun to look back on the things we have been blessed with along the years.
I hope you can use it to craft a little joy of your own! Leave me a note in the comments if this makes you smile- and if you have any hand made decorations you like to make this time of year!
This product will be free during the 10 days of Thanksgiving Presence at ForeverJoy. You’re welcome Sarah! Happy Thanksgiving!
What a great idea! It’s too late for this year but use it in my scrapping & will pull it out for next year. Thank you so much!
π awww- well- I hope you can enjoy the holiday!!
Ah, if only she were coming home… Long story. But yes, maybe next time. *mwah!*
I love that cornucopia idea! It must look adorable! I’m gad you like these- Happy Thanksgiving!
i love this Renne! thank you so much! i’m going to print the circles on sticker paper too. What a wonderful way to get everyone involved in counting all our blessings leading up to Thanksgiving! We love to decorate our table for Thanksgiving- we fill a cornucopia with little woodland creature ornaments, candles and our daughter’s ceramic handprint turkey that she made in Pre-school (she’s 15 and a freshman this year lol!)–always makes us smile π
Have fun Jen!
You’re welcome Kim!
That’s so sweet! I save all their handmade goodness too! π I have hand turkeys taped all over my kitchen cabinets- from the tiny sized ones to the big ones of today! Maybe you should make them craft a few to add to the collection when they come home this year LOL! Enjoy the Holiday!
Thank you for the download! We’re empty-nesters and won’t have anyone around before Thanksgiving to make things with. But I still put out the toilet-paper tube turkey DD made in Kindergarten, and the Sculpy Clay cornucopia she made in elementary school, and the knit turkey she made with me when she was in middle school. They make me smile!
Thank you very much!
Thank you Renne. <3
